Christopher A. Pilaro
Chris Pilaro has been producing documentary films since 1995. He was the Associate Producer and Still Photographer on the Emmy nominated film Children in America’s Schools with Bill Moyers (PBS 1996). Children in America’s Schools focused on the inequalities of funding in the public education system. Chris was also the Field Producer and Still Photographer on the Sundance award winning film Blue Vinyl (HBO 2002). Blue Vinyl focused on PVC, health and the environment and collaborated with Working Films to create the My House is Your House campaign. Most recently Chris produced Toxic Comedy Pictures newest documentary film Everything’s Cool that takes an in depth look at climate change and human nature. The film debuted at Sundance in 2007, enjoyed a theatrical release in New York and Los Angles, aired on the Sundance Channel in January 2008 and is being distributed by Citylights Media Group, Red Envelope Entertainment (a Netflix company) and Bullfrog Educational Films.
Chris lives in Idaho with his family and is the president of the CAP Foundation, a board member of Working Films, The Pioneer Montessori School and Environmental Defense.
