A family medicine physician, U.S. Navy veteran, and author of The Luteal Phase Defect, A Physician’s Story of Recurrent Miscarriages to Successful Pregnancies, Dr. Cazeau has dedicated her career to empowering women and addressing gaps in medical care. Currently serving as a medical director at Versalus Health, she balances her professional responsibilities with homeschooling her three children, embodying the values of resilience and service that define the Ron Brown Scholar community.
Dr. Cazeau’s academic journey began at Xavier University of Louisiana, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, followed by her Doctor of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.
