Ethan Ambrose is currently a senior at Medgar Evers College Preparatory School where he has maintained a 4.0 GPA for all four years. His mother, a single parent, now raises Ethan and his little sister in Brooklyn, New York where Ethan has lived for all of his life. Despite having familial duties, Ethan has managed to engage in several extracurricular activities. Just to name a few, Ethan has started his own club called the Better World Initiative, he is a Youth Advisory Board member for the Young Men’s Initiative located at City Hall, and he is the President of his school’s National Honor Society.
Ethan is also a part of two prestigious Enrichment programs within New York City: The New York City Urban Ambassador Program and the Opportunity Network. The Urban Ambassador program has been a tremendous help to Ethan by providing him with several professional networks that he has taken full advantage of. Ethan asserts that this program has inspired him to ensure that all students understand that making good use of professional networks is imperative for success. Ethan says that the Opportunity Network has also augmented his network and has afforded him several internship opportunities every summer.
This fall, Ethan will be attending Harvard College where he plans to concentrate in Neurobiology with a secondary in Government. Many years after graduation, Ethan aspires to become a pediatric neurosurgeon and says that he will dedicate his life to bettering the medical system to make medical treatment affordable for all individuals regardless of socioeconomic status.
