Ethan Monreal-Jackson is a tech entrepreneur whose startup, Zenny, is working to increase savings and wealth among underbanked and underserved people.
Ethan has spent the majority of his career working in fintech, first at Capital One on their Credit Policy and Strategy teams. He then returned to the Bay Area (after having worked at Google previously) to join fintech startup Affirm as their second credit person, creating their foundational credit and pricing policies. Afterwards, he consulted for several startups before joining one as the Head of Credit & Analytics. Working in fintech made him realize that there were too many opportunities to increase debt and not enough opportunities to increase wealth, which inspired him to launch Zenny in his home state of Texas.
Ethan holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, with concentrations in Finance and Social Impact & Responsibility. He began his career as a consultant for the Boston Consulting Group. He is a proud mama’s boy, Texan, and San Antonio Spurs fan.
