Frederik Groce

Frederik is a Partner at Storm Ventures, an early stage focused B2B venture capital firm. At Storm he focuses on leading investments outside of the Bay Area that focus on vertical SaaS, GovTech, InsureTech, and supply chain logistics. He spends his time working closely with founders developing go-to-market strategies to help scale revenues and raise follow-on capital. Currently he works closely with Praisidio, Room8, Syte, Camino, Splashtop, Blind, and Populus. 

Frederik is also one of the co-founders of BLCK VC, the nation’s largest Black venture community. Founded as a non-profit focused on increasing access for the Black community in both venture capital and tech, BLCK VC runs a number of programs, that include “The Black Venture Institute,” “Breaking into Venture,” and “BLCK VC’s Scout Training Program.” These programs work closely with the venture industry to help create structural pathways to increase Black participation in the ecosystem. 

He is based in Silicon Valley, where he lives with his wife and two dogs. Prior to Venture Capital, Frederik was the CEO of a non-profit at Stanford university that was focused on providing entrepreneur experiences for business minded undergraduates. He attended Stanford University, where he studied political science.
