Jeff Nelson is a technical entrepreneur who is focused on pursuing innovation at the intersection of human and machine intelligence to make diverse societies more accessible, inclusive and productive. Jeff is the Founder and CEO of Cinchapi,an early stage technology startup that is building intelligent tools to help businesses easily automate their operations based on real-time analytics. Under Jeff’s leadership, Cinchapi has been backed by a range of investors from Europe, Atlanta and Silicon Valley. Additionally, Cinchapi has been acknowledged as a feature startup in various pitch competitions including the Atlanta Startup Battle, Collision Pitch, and 43North.

Jeff is also the Co-Founder of Blavity, a tech media startup that produces viral content for and by urban millennials. Blavity has raised over $1 million in venture funding and has a monthly reach of over 20 million unique users across its various media platforms.Prior to his entrepreneurial pursuits, Jeff spent years engineering complex technology platforms at companies like Palantir, MailChimp and Ionic Security. He graduated with a major in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis where he was also Student Body President.

Jeff is actively involved in both technological and entrepreneurial communities. He’s a mentor for the Atlanta chapter of the Founder’s Institute and the creator of the DeepStack code immersion program, which provides additional training to non-traditional students who are learning how to code. Jeff also helps to maintain several open source projects including Concourse, an operational database warehouse project and the Coral Project, which is a suite of applications to help journalists create better online communities.
