Micheal was incredibly involved at his high school and mentored youth in programs run by the World Youth Foundation and SWAG To College. He was awarded the Princeton Prize in Race Relations, Coca-Cola Scholarship, Gates Scholarship, GE-Reagan Scholarship, National Horatio Alger Scholarship, and the Ron Brown Scholarship and was named a U.S. Presidential Scholar. Micheal was featured in CNN and the New York Times for acceptance into twenty top-tier schools. After graduating with an International Baccalaureate Diploma, Micheal spent his summer working remotely for the Ron Brown Scholars Program, completed a service trip in the Dominican Republic, and interned at Vinson & Elkins LLP in Houston.

Micheal currently studies economics at Stanford University.   In his freshman year, he was involved with the Stanford Black Student Union (as an intern on the High School Conference Committee), Stanford in Government (as an intern on the Fellowships & Stipends Committee), and the Stanford Economics Association (as an intern on the Stanford Pre-Collegiate Economics Competition Committee). He currently serves as the Undergraduate Team Coordinator for Stanford’s Political Psychology Research Group (PPRG) and is a Senator on the Stanford ASSU Undergrad Senate.

This summer, Micheal will continue working with PPRG and will also participate in a research project with the Stanford Graduate School of Business in Mexico City. Additionally, Micheal will be backpacking in Montana as a part of leadership training with the Fortus Fellowship. Micheal intends to go into management consulting before going to law school and business school to pursue an MBA/JD.
